Why help?

They say “Every good act is charity. A man’s true wealth hereafter is the good that he does in this world to his fellows.”

we can all agree to that…..

Do you believe that everyone deserves something as simple and crucial for life as clean safe water,

food, clothing, housing, education, safety, and healthcare?

Do you believe you can make a difference?

We do!!!.

Over 1.3 million people in developing countries live on $1.25 a day or less. Between 1990 and 2008, efforts to reduce this number were highly successful and the amount of people living in poverty decreased by nearly half, from 48 to 26 percent. But according to the latest United Nations reports food prices are back on the rise, causing an increase in global poverty for the first time in nearly two decades.

Poverty, food prices and hunger are inextricably linked. Poverty causes hunger. Not every poor person is hungry, but almost all hungry people are poor. Millions live with hunger and malnourishment because they simply cannot afford to buy enough food, cannot afford nutritious foods or cannot afford the farming supplies they need to grow enough good food of their own [1]. Hunger can be viewed as a dimension of extreme poverty. It is often called the most severe and critical manifestation of poverty. With your help,  JNN Foundation wants to change that, one community at a time.

Our Vision

JNN Foundation strives to realize the full potential of poor and orphaned children in Africa and other continents, and to create opportunities for women to gain knowledge, skills and a small loan to establish a business that can potentially create financial independence. We hope to help these individuals become healthy, happy, responsible and independent members of society.

Our Mission

JNN Foundation’s mission is to promote and support activities that will help provide housing, food, clothing, education, and health-care to children and programs that will empower women. JNN Foundation currently partners with several organizations and citizens to help make these initiatives possible. Our goal is to build self-sustaining projects that will create a positive impact, increase the quality of life and make a difference in a community. Hunger is one of the most common reasons children fail to attend schools in developing countries; most are malnourished and unable to learn.

The Initiative

JNN Foundation’s initiative is to support destitute children and disadvantaged women in Africa, addressing the causes of hunger and poverty. Through collaborative efforts with local organizations, JNN Foundation is dedicated to build and support orphanages, schools and self-sustaining projects, that will aid  in the transformation of  lives and make dreams come true. The Problem

Almost one billion people, more than one seventh of the world suffers from chronic hunger, while more than 3.5 million children die each year from malnutrition. Hunger robs the poor children of their healthy and productive lives and stunts the mental and physical development of the next generation. (Read More)

The Challenge

Lack of access to quality education is preventing millions of people from escaping the cycle of extreme poverty around the world. Most of the 67.5 million children still out of school are amongst the poorest and hardest to reach. More than half of them are girls, and most are living in countries in conflict and in rural areas. The Threat

As a direct result of HIV and Aids the population of sub-Saharan Africa is now in decline. Parents are dying, leaving their children (often babies) to fend for themselves on the streets. AIDS is the leading cause of death globally in women of reproductive age (WHO 2010) and AIDS has become the leading cause of death among infants and young children in much of sub-Saharan Africa (UNA-IDS). The Concern

Africa’s women mean business – but they need financing.  Banks need a new approach to African women entrepreneurs, whose inability to raise funds holds back growth. (Read More)

The Opportunity

Micro-finance is an idea that supports low-income individuals who are unable to lift themselves out of poverty without access to financial services. JNN Foundation celebrates Micro-finance, as it empowers women, allows them to gain financial independence, and helps energize local economies. (Read More)

The Response

Ending poverty begins with clean water. Poor health, hunger and a lack of education are symptoms of the true problem….no clean water. You can help change that today by supporting JNN Foundation in the campaign to make clean water available to women in Africa. (Read More)
