Kenya’s fertile land and climate provides an excellent environment to develop self-sustainability through agricultural and livestock farming. Â Although only about 24% of the land in Kenya is arable, agriculture has since pre-independence days been the mainstay of the country’s economy, accounting for over two-thirds of its exports.
Farms provide mothers and children with opportunities to learn new skills, while at the same time helping villages become self-sustainable with agricultural, meat, dairy and poultry products. Â Any surplus can then be sold to the market to create an ongoing source of income to support the children’s education and other needs.

LivestockAgriculture is a way of life for most people in Africa. The vast majority of cultivated land is used by small farmers for subsistence agriculture. Livestock breeding and goat fattening are becoming more profitable, healthy goats are more valuable at market and produce more nutritious milk. Give a goat or a cow and you could provide a family with nutritious milk to drink, manure to fertilize their fields and kids to sell on at market. Make a difference today and donate. (View Project) |
